Author Biography

Laila Lundell has long been considered a source of inspiration and innovation in the handweaving community. She is a highly respected principal and instructor at HV skola—Handarbetets Vänner (school of The Association of Friends of Textile Art) in Stockholm, Sweden. Her original edition of The Big Book of Weaving is renowned in the weaving community, serving as the introductory text on the subject for handweavers around the world. This revised edition should provide a new generation of weavers with the same service.

Elisabeth Windesjö is an instructor at HV skola—Handarbetets Vänner (school of The Association of Friends of Textile Art) in Stockholm, Sweden, where she worked side by side with Laila Lundell during her first year.
