Author Biography
Rich co-founded Amway in 1959 and was company president until his retirement in 1993. He also served as senior chairman of the Orlando Magic, which his family purchased in 1991.
Rich was one of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs, author of five books, an inspirational and motivational speaker, a community and political leader, and, with his late wife Helen, a generous philanthropist. His legacy lives on through his family, the businesses he built, the people he inspired, the lives he touched, and the causes he supported.
Doug DeVos is co-chair of the board of directors for Amway, the world’s largest direct selling company. He previously served as the company’s president for sixteen years. He’s dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and enabling people worldwide to establish their own businesses.
Doug also leads the Ambassador Network for Stand Together, an organization focused on helping others by dealing with society’s biggest challenges.?Additionally, Doug chairs the Frederick Douglass Society at Stand Together and the Executive Committee for the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. He’s involved in many business and civic organizations, including the West Michigan Policy Forum and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation. Doug is also a member of the Orlando Magic Leadership Council and principal of the American Magic sailing team.
Doug is editor-in-chief of the Believe! Journal (thebelievejournal.com), an online platform that puts the best and latest examples of America’s timeless principles front and center. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University, where he was a quarterback on the football team.
